Mt. Hope and Parmalee
When it comes to a traditional in-ground burial, your family can choose one of our two Thornapple Township cemeteries, Mt. Hope or Parmalee.
Parmalee Cemetery is located in the northern section of the Township on Parmalee Road between Stimson Road and Whitneyville Road. There are no lot sales in this cemetery, however, we still accept burials for current lot owners. Please contact the Township Hall for more information.
Mt. Hope Cemetery was established in 1875 and has expanded into many sections over time. It is located east of downtown Middleville off of Old M-37 (E. Main St. /West State Rd.) on the eastern edge of the Village of Middleville.
If you have an emergency that occurs after normal business hours and need to contact someone at the Township immediately regarding a cemetery lot, please call the Township Clerk at 269-953-6382.
